Twas the night before Christmas,
And all through the house,
Not a creature was stirring,
Except in the newsroom--there was a mouse.

I flew from my studio,
And opened the door in a flash
And saw the little rascal,
Squirming around in the trash.

I tried to borrow the
Chief's nice new gun,
And thought I'd take care of it,
Cause it seemed like so much fun.

But then to what do
My startled ears do I hear,
But this little guy's footsteps
As he peeled off to the rear.

I grew so angry,
I flew into a rage,
I may not get to kill it--
It might only get caught in a cage.

But then I figured not dealing with it
Was in one way I was blessed
So I smiled and went back to work
And wished to all a Merry Christmas!

Eek! Mouse loose at the station. No word yet if this miserable creature has been apprehended. Stay tuned!
